How to travel to GyeongJu
Have you heard about GyeongJu? This place is one of the most historical places in Korea that I highly recommend you to visit! However, it is quite difficult to travel around there due to the lack of information.
GyeongJu was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Silla which ruled about two-thirds of the Korean Peninsula between the 7th and 9th centuries. So, most historical places in GyeongJu are World Heritage Sites by UNESCO and these major historical sites have helped GyeongJu become one of the most popular tourist destinations in South Korea.
However, apparently my foreign friends could not see lots of things in GyeongJu so I have decided to write a post about how to travel to GyeongJu!
Whether you buy a bus or a train ticket to GyeongJu, it is better to book the GyeongJu city tour bus first! Actually, there are several ways to travel around. If you want to rent a car, then you don`t need to book the city tour bus. But if you are not going to rent a car, then it is best to use the city tour buses, because they provide different routes that you can travel around every historical sites without difficulty. Otherwise, if you take taxis or the local buses you might find it difficult to communicate with the drivers... it means there is a strong possibility to get lost...
Ok, this is the official website of the GyeongJu City bus tour:
http://cmtour.co.kr/en/index.html
You will find out that there are 4 courses. I think the best courses are courses 2 and 3. Those courses do not include entrance fees nor lunch fees.
So, how can you book this tickets?
You can call them using the number on the website. That number is for foreigners so you don`t need to worry about communication problems. If you cannot call them, you can send them an email with the date, course number and your name etc.. - you can find this information on the website as well (Procedure & Department point section)
I hope you can enjoy and don`t miss one of the most beautiful historical places in Korea.
One more tip! Check the official website of GyeongJu tour guide!
