Do you know what JjimjilBang is? Jjimjilbang is one of the most popular places for Koreans and we visit there anytime and very often. Here is the explanation of Jjimjilbang from wikipedia - A Jjimjilbang (Hangul: 찜질방; Hanja: 蒸氣房) is a large, gender-segregated public bathhouse in Korea, furnished with hot tubs, showers, Korean traditional kiln Saunas and massage tables. Jjimjil is derived from the words meaning heated bath.
Spaland is one of the most famous Jjimjilbang in Busan that you might be really enjoy it. Only adults and over 14 yrs can go and they provide various different rooms that lots of Japanese and Chinese visit this place as well. This place is located in between Haeundae and Guanganli and inside of Shinsegye department store - ground floor. You can get off at Centum City station(Line2 exit 12). If you cannot find this place easily, just get in the department store and ask people. They will let you know how to get there!
It costs 12,000 won(during week days for 4hurs, if you want to stay longer than 4hurs they will charge you 3,000 won for extra hrs) and 14,000 won for weekends. I don`t think it is good idea to visit this place on weekends because it would be packed.
Are you hungry? or got bored to watch TV while lying on the bed? There are restaurants and snack bars and room for relax(TV with bed)! My boyfriend loves this place and this is the one of the top places he always wants to go when he visits Korea. So That`s why I recommend you to visit this place especially when you are very tired and need to relax during your travel.
When you get there, check the brochure and map at the first time and decide how you are going to spend 4 hrs there. In addition, I suggest you to try boiled eggs and Patbingsu(Grouded ice with sweets and fruits)! You can pay for foods and massages through your key, then pay when you leave
boiled eggs with ice teas
Patbingsu
Hope you can have a great Jjimjilbang experience in Spaland!
